First steps

Your Consultation

The first step towards getting a rhinoplasty is to schedule a consultation with Dr. Timberlake. During this appointment, Dr. Timberlake will analyze your nose and address all of your questions and concerns. You should be detailed and honest when asked about your medical history, aesthetic goals, problems, and expectations.

Dr. Timberlake will then examine your nose in the context of your overall facial anatomy and share the various techniques for rhinoplasty, along with their associated pros and cons.

Once you have finalized the treatment plan, our patient coordinator will help you schedule a convenient surgery date. They will also share pricing options and pre-operative instructions for you to optimize your surgery and recovery.

What to expect

What to Expect on the Day of Rhinoplasty Surgery

Dr. Timberlake and his concierge team will welcome you on the day of your rhinoplasty procedure. Your treatment plan will be presented to you again for any last-minute questions and concerns. Our anesthetist will then administer your anesthesia to ensure your comfort during the surgery.

Dr. Timberlake will perform the rhinoplasty procedure using the appropriate techniques based on your case and goals. Surgery usually lasts approximately 3 hours.

Recovery

Rhinoplasty Recovery

After surgery, you will be monitored in our recovery room until the post-surgical team discharges you. You will need to have a family member or friend available to drive you home in case you are still feeling some of the effects of sedation.

Post-surgery, you will have minor bruising, swelling, and pain around the eyes and cheeks. This will all subside in the coming days, and you can return to all normal activities within a few weeks.

You will notice your results immediately, however, final results from rhinoplasty will take several months to show. This is because it takes time for your nose to settle into its final contour as minor residual swelling resolves and the skin envelope continues to contract.

Many of our patients who get a rhinoplasty combine it with additional procedures.
